The Fridge isn’t Garlic’s place
Garlic doesn’t need to be stored in the fridge. It can get rubbery and even start to sprout, if you do keep this food item in the fridge. Then, when you cut it open, you’ll notice little green sprouts inside, even if it can look totally normal.
A specialized garlic jar, or even a pair of breathable nylon pantyhose is where you should leave your garlic. You can store the peeled cloves in your freezer.
