This research does suggest that light, warmth, and air accelerate alcohol’s decay rate, while it isn’t peer-reviewed. White and red wines remain fresh for one to two years, according to FoodSafety.gov.
Beer only stays good for six to nine months after its expiration date, while hard liquors, such as whiskey, tequila, vodka, and brandy, will last for many more years. It’ll only stay fresh for a couple of days once you open the bottle of any kind of alcohol.
